TANKUS THE HENGE -
The world of Tankus the Henge is uplifting and wild, dark and heartfelt.
A six piece powerhouse of a band drawing visual and musical influences from old time Fairgrounds to modern day Circus; The Beatles to Tom Waits and Gogol Bordello to Radiohead, they embody a look and a sound that lies somewhere between their South East London home and the carnival town of New Orleans.
THE SULTANS -
The Sultans are a 6-piece band playing an exciting mix of danceable music, guaranteed to make your event go with a swing!
With a repertoire to suit all tastes including jump jive in the form of Ain’t Nobody Here But Us Chickens and Choo Choo Ch’ Boogie by Louis Jordan, Just a Gigolo (Louis Prima), a selection of Sinatra (Nice ‘n’ Easy, The Best is Yet to Come, Too Close for Comfort, Goody Goody), plus a hint of Glenn Miller (spirited versions of In the Mood and Pennsylvania 6-5000), a touch of Latino in Sway, Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps and Oye Como Va, plus a smattering of something more modern (Tiger Feet, Lovecats, Tainted Love), this is exactly the right mix to make your event one to remember.
THE SESSION BAND -
The Session Band plays 'amplified acoustic' Rock, Blues, Folk and Country Rock, covers and originals, from quiet ballads to raucous rock, thus being a great choice for any occasion requiring some professional live music!
We consist of: a multitude of lead vocals and harmonies, 2 guitars, keyboard, ukelele and a rhythm section of Cajon and upright bass. Even the banjo appears sometimes!
Originally formed from a regular Thursday night 'Session' of experienced musicians from around Devon which took place on Dartmoor every month - it felt and sounded so good we turned it into a proper band and just had to take it out on the road!
